Throughout the system wherever you find [[image:search.jpg]], you can quickly lookup and select existing records for the mentioned field. To search for existing records click on the magnifying glass or press F7. To create a new record, click on the blue & white box or press F6. If you know the code/name of the record you can directly type it in here or enter it partially and hit tab/enter to search for similar records.

In some places you will only find [[image:search2.jpg]]. Here you can only search for records and select them by clicking on the magnifying glass or pressing F7. If you know the code/name of the record you can directly type it in here or type it partially and hit tab/enter to search for similar records. This is not applicable to document reference numbers (eg. schedule numbers, job numbers, estimate numbers etc.)

Wherever you find [[image:calendar.jpg]], it indicates that a calendar is available to select a specific date. You can either click on the calendar icon or press F7 to select a date. You can also type in the date in DD/MM/YYYY format. If you want to enter a date in the the current month and year, just type the day in DD format(eg. 15) and press enter, which will automatically show the entire DD/MM/YYYY date (eg. if we are in January 2012, and you type in 15, it will show 15/01/2012).

In lists that contain records which are grouped together, only the group headings show by default (the actual records under the group are hidden from view). Click on the Show All button to show ALL the records in the list, and not just the group headings.
